The Legacy Builder’s Story

Ever so often, we have clients and vendors ask us, “what is the story behind Legacy Builders?”  Well, during the 80’s and 90’s, Jim and his brother, Thomas Geiger, built more than 35 spec homes on lots that they owned. The majority of these homes were under contract to buyers before they were even finished, a testament to the brother’s dedication to quality workmanship and forward-thinking designs. When the economy got soft, Jim and Thomas switched their strategy, turning distressed and/or auctioned properties into desirable homes that sold quickly.

Fast forward about fifteen years, they dreamt of a new business venture.  Their vision was to create a building company that placed emphasis on quality workmanship and creative, modern designs. They also planned to purchase and renovate homes for rentals to sustain the company through lean times. However, on May 31st, 2011, Thomas passed away. In 2012, with the support and assistance of several good friends and trusted business partners, Jim realized the brothers’ dream and created Legacy Builders.
