We handle jobs of all sizes at Legacy Builders. Today finds us at a Crystal Lake home that is currently up for sale, doing a repair to the bay window. Repairs like these add salability to a home, often making the difference between selling the home in short order or having it sit on the market for an extended period of time. The defects of a home are often what a potential buyer will remember, and may lead them to suspect that there may be other, similar damage to other areas of the house. Fixing this leaky bay window is a relatively inexpensive way to help ensure that this home’s first impression on potential buyers will be a good one.

In this photo, Contractor James Greenwell removes the damaged wood and any old caulking around the bay window. The wet insulation will also be removed, as it is wet from the recent heavy rains we have, and replaced with new high R-Value insulation.
