She has nearly 15 years experience providing decorating, design and staging services in the homes of prominent professionals throughout Chicago’s Northwest suburbs. In addition she has gained a reputation as one of the region’s leading renovation experts.

“I love to give new life to an old house,” says Judy, whose clients have included CEOs, business owners, professional sports team executives, surgeons, doctors, attorneys, engineers, scientists, and others. Clients appreciate the way Judy involves them in the design process, and creates customized design solutions based on their specific needs. They rave about her “amazing skills,” “incredible vision, and “attention to detail.”

Judy provides a one stop shop for home interior services, offering everything from redesign and home staging to color consultations and move in services. Her company, Fresh Look Interiors, is backed by a team of some of the area’s top contractors, painters, kitchen specialists, window treatment experts, landscapers, furniture and fabric vendors, and other professionals.

Judy’s work has been featured in national publications like Decorating Spaces magazine and on local TV, and she has contributed to home decorating books. She has trained hundreds of professionals from coast to coast on home staging and redesigning, and has presented seminars to groups of homeowners and industry professionals, alike.

Earlier in her career, she earned industry awards, and interior redesign, real estate staging and color specialist certifications through professional organizations with which she was involved.

Judy, who is active in a variety of local business organizations, has won numerous community service awards. Her recent designation as one of McHenry County’s “Women of Distinction” is the latest in a series of awards she has received for her leadership role in her field and in the community. She has also been honored as a “McHenry County Everyday Hero” for her work as the chairwoman of a local charitable food drive.

As a third generation builder from McHenry County, he has a unique blend of skills in all aspects of construction.  The family began as production oriented builders of affordable homes in subdivisions such as Coventry and Four Colonies in Crystal Lake. They progressed to more custom developments in the county north of town in the Squaw Creek Valley, Cherry Hill, and Bull Ridge communities.

Dan then followed the progression of more upscale custom homes and remodeling in today’s environment of high levels of customization and customer integration. Dan’s background is a perfect fit to complete our company vision at Legacy Builders.

   • When I have time I enjoy mountain hiking and scuba diving.

   • My favorite musicians are Steve Winwood and J.J. Cale.
3. Why did you choose your profession?
   • It chose me! I was born into it and have passion for the industry.

Fast forward about fifteen years, they dreamt of a new business venture.  Their vision was to create a building company that placed emphasis on quality workmanship and creative, modern designs. They also planned to purchase and renovate homes for rentals to sustain the company through lean times. However, on May 31st, 2011, Thomas passed away. In 2012, with the support and assistance of several good friends and trusted business partners, Jim realized the brothers’ dream and created Legacy Builders.
